About REACH
Reach is a non-government, self-funded centre, set up in the year 2002, to provide a support system to special children under one roof. It is now Registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act 1950, Vide. Reg No. F-36045 dated 19/09/2008.
- It aims at providing an encouraging and stimulating environment to those students who are not proficient to withstand the pressures of academics in the regular school, either, due to learning problems (caused due to learning disabilities, emotional disturbances etc.) or, to those who are slow learners.
- To promote higher learning and vocational competence amongst the special group of children.
- To nurture realistic academic goals and to make them socially and emotionally independent.
There are many students in school, who despite the potential are unable to cope with the mounting academic pressures. With additional help they are able to perform and use their potentials to the best of their abilities.
Teachers form an integral part of the academic programme and are looked upon by the students for guidance. They are an important link between the students and the parents. It is often observed, that we as teachers fail to identify the real reason of their poor performance in a classroom situation.
